January 2008
Dear Irish Terrier friends,
I would like to take this opportunity to wish our friends a very happy New Year and to introduce the first “weloveirishterriers.com” newsletter and website.
NEWS
The last few months of 2006 were spent working hard on the web site and promoting our bespoke Irish Terrier Christmas cards which were a huge success. November was busy with two hectic days at Discover Dogs at London’s Earls Court. This is a wonderful exhibition sponsored by the Kennel Club when each breed has a small space to set up shop and introduce themselves with photographs and leaflets. We had also some very jolly Irish Terriers “two at a time” meeting the public and doing the big time charm offensive. They were all great fun and it was a joy to be with them making new friends and seeing so many old friends full of stories about their own Irish Terriers. Do put the dates in your diary for next year (currently scheduled for 10th & 11th November 2007).
I took my dogs to the War Memorial wearing poppies on their collars to remember the animals who served with the British forces in both World Wars – especially our beloved Irish Terriers. It is wonderful to feel that they are not forgotten, and do view the “History” link on our website.
My two dogs Zuleika (Zuli) and Princess Bega (Beegie) are both well and enjoyed Christmas. Every year they take great interest in the Christmas Tree and usually manage to spot their parcels!
WELOVEIRISHTERRIERS.COM
We hope you will find this new website an entertaining and engaging opportunity to share your ongoing experiences and love for your dogs with other friends of the breed.
The beautiful 2007 Calendar is proving very popular and copies are available on line at www.weloveirishterriers.com . Also do take a look at the book list; for example “Talking about our Friends” is a funny endearing little book to make you laugh.
Please let us have your e-mail address so that we can keep in regular touch with you and/or feel free to telephone the mobile number above. Feel free to send us pictures and news of your dogs (preferable by email to the email address above) and we will be delighted to share them with all our Irish Terrier friends.
Best wishes and my love to the dogs,
Lucy Jackson
